Association of low-threshold services for children and youth

Summary of the project: Association of low-threshold services for children and youth brings together organizations implementing a low-threshold programmes  for children and youth.

It was registered by four organizations in August 2008: Children's Fund of the Slovak Republic - MIXKlub , Youth of the street, Ulita - Community Center Kopčany and KASPIAN . Today Association provides an umbrella of organizations in all regions of Slovakia, providing social services, prevention activities, education and leisure time activities in low-threshold clubs and through the social field-work.
Support of the project enabled 6 representatives of organizations of the association to participate at an international conference in Oslo Outreach work. The conference offered presentations and workshops led by professionals from number of countries including European and out of Europe. To bring to Slovakia more ideas to share, they visited also of the other organizations to learn more about their work and the conditions in which they operate. Working team that travelled to Norway have shared the inspiring ideas with other social workers from Slovakia through a seminar open to practitioners, as well as people from academia and public administration.
