Objective of the project: The goal of the project is to provide protective, safe, and open environment to children and young people at risk; furthermore, to increase the quality of our work and to reduce the risk of social exclusion of children and youth at risk via community activities, education, and participation.

The main outputs of the project:

  • Preventive action – increasing the resistance of clients to social-pathological impacts of the unsafe environment of their lives; increasing the awareness of clients about themes having a close link with their lives; providing an open, safe, and motivational environment to children, youth, and their relatives (annual visiting rates; number of children up to 6 years old: 60; number of children 6 – 18 years old: 150; number of young people over 18 years old: 15; number of parents and relatives: 90)
  • Developing social and life skills; guiding clients to more intensive participation in the common activities of centres as well as in the outward-oriented community activities (annual visiting rates; number of children up to 6 years old: 60; number of children 6 – 18 years old: 150; number of young people over 18 years old: 15; number of parents and relatives: 90; other children and young people up to 18 years old: 50)
  • Guiding clients toward gaining independence and taking responsibility for themselves and other people (annual visiting rates; number of children up to 6 years old: 60; number of children 6 – 18 years old: 150; number of young people over 18 years old: 15; number of parents and relatives: 90)
  • Contacting parents, inhabitants of the residential house Pentagon and its close vicinity, inhabitants of the Vrakuňa neighbourhood, and general public directly or via web (500 contacted parents and inhabitants of the Bratislava-Vrakuňa neighbourhood; 500 visitors at the photography exhibition, and of our webpages)
  • Training of employees who will acquire new information, skills, and professional competencies, which will help them in their work with community and in providing preventive services to children and young people (20 employees)
  • Distributing brochures – Pentagon News (500 brochures)
